Who was the head of the church? The pope was officially head.

What claims did Gregory VII have? He claimed to have the right to choose all the bishop and to remove embers from the throne.
What emperor objected to Gregory's ideas because they attacked his power and rights? Henry IV didn't like them.
Why did Charlemagne want the title emperor? He thought he would have closer a relationship with God.
Who invaded England in 1066, and brought so much change to the English law? The Normans did.
How many Crusades did the Europeans launch? They launched three and the only successful one was the first.
What inspired religious fervor against the Muslims? The Crusades did then it all turned into attacking non-Christians.
When was the Inquisition made? In the 1200's by Pope Gregory IX
What was another name for the Spanish Muslims? They were also known as Moors.
