QuestionAnswer
What were the main reasons for te succes of the Mongols? They had outstanding leadership, military skill and, most important, horses.
How did Genghis Khan organiz his army? He grouped soliers into units of 10,000 troops. These units were subdivided into smaller groups of 1,000, 100, and 10. The smaller groups had individual leaders who reported to a group later above them.
Why was this so effective? This type of military leadership created a clear chain of command within the larger army and helped create order of the battlefield.
Aside from the military conquest, how did Genghis Khan help his people? Created his own written lanuage using captured scribe, and made a series of law forbidding fighting among the tribes.
