Sacrament of The Altar

| The Passover | The feast that celebrates when the angel of death passed over the Israelites when they were in slavery. |
| New Testament | The promise of the Lord's Supper that the blood of Christ was shed in our place for the forgiveness of sins in place of us dieing eternally |
| the real presence | That the true body and blood of Christ are present and distributed to every communicant in the Lord's Supper. |
| Holy Communion | The term for Christ's body and blood. |
| The Lord's Supper | The term for the Sacrament of the Altar which speaks of it as the food. |
| the breaking of the bread | The New Testament term for the Lord's Supper. |
| Divine Service | When God serves us with His gifts of forgiveness, life, and salvation through the preaching of the Word and the giving out of Christ's sacraments, and when, by a faith born of the Gospel, we pray, we praise, and give thanks to all of His benefits. |
