Who were the Monks? People who devote their lives to pass on gods teachings.
What activities did the Monks preform? Studied the bible, Gave prayers, worked in the Monasteries,Cared for the sick, Worked in the library copying religious manuscripts.
What were St. Benedict's vows? Having poverty, Remaining a Monk till death, Having obedience to the order,to have Chastity no marriage.
Who were the Nuns? Like Monks, Nuns devoted their life to spread God's teachings, but they were women.
What activities did the Nuns preform? Prayed and studied the Bible, Took care of the poor and sick, Worked in beekeeping, Grew herbs and food.
What were some opportunities life offered for the Nuns? Study and scholarships, Became musicians or poets.
Where did St. Patrick spread Christianity to? Ireland
Where did Pope Gregory I spread Christianity to? England
Where did St. Boniface spread Christianity to? Netherlands and Germany
What did the Saints believe? Humans were sinful and weak
What were you suppose to do in order to go to Heaven? You were supposed to have faith in Christ, Follow his teachings, Abondon their sinful ways, they also had to observe the sacraments
How was hell described? A fiery pit of eternal suffering.
