Nikita Khrushchev Soviet Union leader during the U-2 incident that further strained relations with the United States.
Fidel Castro A Cuban who led a successful revolution against the US supported Cuban government and aligned with the Soviet Union against the US.
John F. Kennedy A Democratic President of the United States that defeated Richard Nixon due to his ability to impress the American population on television.
Lee Harvey Oswald The assassin who shot and killed President John F. Kennedy
Lyndon B. Johnson Vice President who became President when John F. Kennedy was assassinated
Ho Chi Minh Communist leader of Vietnam
Richard Nixon A Republican President who had a plan named Vietnamization to end the Vietnam War; tried to stop the Pentagon Papers from coming out and had to resign after the Watergate Scandal.
Students for Democratic Society A group of students who helped to organize protests around the nation on college campuses.
Cuba An island, 90 miles off the coast of Florida, where the Cuban Missile Crisis occurred
