Vocabulary of World War II

TermDefinition
Anti-Semitism Discrimination against or prejudice or hostility toward Jews.
Appeasement To yield or concede to the belligerent demands of (a nation, group, person, etc.) in a conciliatory effort, sometimes at the expense of justice or other principles.
Fascism An authoritarian and nationalistic right-wing system of government and social organization..
Munich Conference The pact signed by Great Britain, France, Italy, and Germany on September 29, 1938, by which the Sudetenland was ceded to Germany: often cited as an instance of unwise and unprincipled appeasement of an aggressive nation
Nazism The principles or methods of the Nazis.
Third Reich Germany during the Nazi regime 1933–45.
