What were some activities that Nuns performed? prayer and study, took care of the poor and sick, worked in beekeeping, and grew herbs/food
What were some opportunities that convent life offered to nuns? study and scholarship, to become a poet or musician, food, shelter, and protection
What were some activities that monks performed? studied the bible, prayed from 2:30 AM - 7:30 PM, copied religious manuscripts, worked in the library, and cared for the sick people
Who where the most successful invaders? Vikings
Who did the Vikings attack? Britain, Ireland, France
What is feudalism? a system of government based on the exchange of land for loyalty
What did peasants do? planted and tended lords lands and harvested crops
What did the lady of the minor do? ran the minor and its house hold
What did the Vikings want? new lands in a better climate
