What is the purpose of establishing the Constitution? To form a more perfect union, to establish justice, to insure domestic tranquility, to provide for the common defence, to promote the general welfare, and to secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.
What are the powers delegated to Congress? Coin money, regulate economy, regulate postal service, make laws, regulate trade, override presidential veto, provide national defense, collect tax, do draft, pay debts, propose amendments, borrow money, and impeach president and supreme court. The Congress is in charge of raising money for military and is also in charge of bankruptcy.
What are the qualifications for president? Must be at least 35 years old. Must be a natural born citizen. Must be resident of the United States for at least 14 years. Must be a concurrent resident for at least 15 years.
What are the powers of the president? The president is the military commander-in-chief of the U.S. army. The president can appoint ambassadors, can appoint judges to the supreme court, can make treaties, can nominate, can provide 2/3 of the Senators present concur, can veto a law, and can fill the vacancies of the Senate during recess.
What are the kinds of cases heard by federal courts? Cases about race/sex/woman discrimination, inner state dispute, admiralty, and maritime jurisdiction.
What are the qualifications for House of Representatives? Must be at least 25 years old. Must be a citizen of the U.S. for at least 7 years. Must be a resident of the state you wish to be represent.
What are the qualifications for Senate? Must be at least 30 years old. Must be a citizen of the U.S. for at least 9 years. Must be a resident of the state you wish to be represent.
What are the powers denied to Congress? No title of nobility can be granted, no preference on any state, cannot take money from the treasury, cannot suspend Habeas Corpus, cannot pass any ex post facto laws, cannot place tax/duty directly on state, and cannot tax before the law is pass.
