Indulgences | An agreement made by the Catholic Church that meant you were forgiven for your sins. In other words, people would pay to have their sins forgiven. |
Simony | The selling and buying of positions or roles in the Catholic Church. |
Saints | Someone who is honored for how religious they are and how dedicated and devoted they are about God. |
Reformation | The Reformation was a religious movement that took place from the 1500s to the 1600s. This led to a new formation of Christian groups. |
Doctrine | Doctrine(s) are a group of beliefs or one belief that is made especially in religion. |
Protestant | A Christian who separated from the Roman Catholic Church during the Reformation; today, any member of a Christian church founded on the principles of the Reformation. |
Martin Luther | A German priest who started Lutheranism (a religion made by himself) by breaking away from the Catholic Church. |
Thesis | An argument or claim to support a main idea. |
Denomination | A religion with more faith for example Lutheranism. |
Treaty | A written agreement between two or more nations |
