European Contact On Latin America

Aztecs Native people of Central Mexico whose civilization was at its height at the time of the Spanish conquest in the early 16th century.
Incas A group of people of highland Peru who established an empire from Northern Ecuador to Central Chile before the Spanish conquest.
Hernan Cortes A Spanish conqueror who is famous for conquering the Aztec Empire in Mexico from 1519-1521.
Montezuma An Aztec ruler from 1500-1520. He was most famous for ruling the Aztecs when they were invaded by Cortes.
Francisco Pizzaro A Spanish Conquistador who is famous for conquering the Inca Empire in South America between 1531-1533
Atahualpa Last ruler of the Inca Empire. He was captured and executed by the Inca's on August 29-1533.
Colombian Exchange The moving of animals, plants , people and diseases from the old world to the new world and from the new world to the old world.
Tenochtitlan The main city of the Aztec Empire.
Nahauatl Aztec language.
Conquistador Spanish conqueror.
Cusco Capital of Peru, where the Inca's lived.
Quechua Inca Language.
