Federal Reserve System " A bank for banks" US needed a way to quikly adjust the amnt of $ in circulation and support private banks. Private banking system under federal control. Nation divided into 12 districks where these central banks could only issue $ in an emergency.
Clayton Antitrust Act The purpose of this act is to strengthen the Sherman Antitrust act. Prohibited acquiring stock of other corporatioin, if doing so would create a monopoly. Samuel Gompers called it the Magna Carta for labor.
WIlliam H Taft. Secretary of war picked by Roosevelt to run in the election. He won the presidency. He didnt enjoy being president. He angered conservationists by hiring Ballinger. Tafts support split.
