How the First Americans came to the Americas early migration theory? They came through the Bering Land Bridge, which is a strip of land between Asia and Alaska.
Where and why did the First Americans come to America? They came from Asia. They came because of food/game, by accident, and/or to start new tribes.
Who were they and when did they come? They were Asians, or also known as Clovis, which are Paleo-Indians, and they came between 38,000 BC and 10,000 BC.
Key Vocabulary: Bering Land Bridge A strip of land between Asia and Alaska.

What area did the Netherlands occupy in the Americas? Part of North America.
What area did England occupy in the Americas? Hudson Bay area.
What area did Portugal occupy in the Americas? South America
What is the Colombian Exchange? What came from the Old World? What came from the New World? It's the exchange of cultural and natural items among the Europeans, Native Americans, and Africans.
What is the Encomienda System? A system that was set in place to tax the local Native Americans or to make them work. In exchange the settlers were supposed to protect the Native American people and convert them to Christianity.
What was the impact of disease? Most of the Native Americans died.
Who is Bartolome de Las Casas? He is a priest who didn't support the Native Americans being enslaved people.
What are the positive effects of the Age of Exploration? The Americas were found.
What are the negative effects of the Age of Exploration? Native Americans became enslaved.
