What factors contributed to the rise of empires in West Africa? The most prized West African mineral was gold, that's one of the factors that contributed to the rise of the empires.
How is Africa a continent of great geographic contrasts? Africa has been prized for its natural resources.
How did people of Ghana use their resources and skills to build a wealthy empire? They used their skills for iron work.
Most of Africa is what kind of land form? Dry land
what does oral history mean? information of historical importance.
What did North Africans trade for gold? Salt
What does the term barter mean? It means to trade.
Is Africa the second largest continent? Yes because most of Africa is large plateau.
What are things historians relied on? The first one is oral history and the second one is archaeology.
What are natural resources? Natural resources are are products of nature that have no economic value.
