Who is Sunni Ali Ber? He was a Muslim that became king of Songhai.
How did Ali Ber treat the people of Djenne? He treated them with forcefulness, but after the siege the treated them with respect.
In what way did the spread of Arabic benefit trade? It was convent for traders as a command language.
Who was the highest-ranking person in the West Africa's Caste System The emperor.
What rights did the slaves have? The could marry and earn money.
What were the most common buildings made out of? Mud and wood.
How are lineages and clans related? They both are mainly about family.
How did West African emperors support trade? By trading goods.
What does proverbs mean? Wise sayings.
What were the main oral traditions? Stories, familys and folktales.
Why did West Africans create art? To show wealth and power.
What was griots' main job? To pass down history to a certain person or thing.
How did West African traditions spread to the Americans? It spread mby songs and rythems.
