Main geographic features? Mediterranean coastal and sahara and small band of fertile land.
Cultural practices? Shares many traditions. Each country with its own practices. Men/women wear djellaba (long, hooded and loose). Men wear red hat called a bernousse/fez. Women wear kaftans with ornaments.
Language? Arabic, Berber. French is an administrative language used in schools and commerce/economics.
Ancient History? Native population called berbers. Cave paintings show how people lived. Presence of romans and islam along coast. French invaded/captured Algiers, Algerian War of Independence. Algeria became independent.
Camel role? Travel, transportation, war, etc...
