QuestionAnswer
Perspective is a visual technique used to make people and objects look closer or farther away and to give realistic depth to a scene.
Classical Art is a form of art that includes pottery, painting, murals, and mosaics and it was created by Greece and Rome.
Humanism A philosophy that tried to balance religious faith with a special importance on individual dignity and the interest of nature and human society.
Renaissance Art The aim of renaissance art was to show the importance of people and nature.
Humanities Collectively, areas of study that focus on human life and culture, such as history, literature, and ethics.
City-state An independent state consisting of a city and its surrounding territory.
Medieval Art This art showed religion, sculptures and paintings showed little expression, figures looked stiff, paintings had little perspective, backgrounds were one color, and paintings were made with bright colors.
Republic A form of government in which citizens elect representatives to rule for them which means that the people will choose who will represent them.
Patron is a wealthy human that ordered and paid for new buildings and art.
