Amerigo Vespucci The New World was named after this man by a German mapmaker who drew a map of the new world.
Ponce de Leon Spanish explorer who was searching for the "Fountain of Youth" but found Florida instead.
Cortes The ruthless and cruel Spanish explorer who conquered the Aztec of Mexico .
