Paleolithic and Neolithic Eras

| Relative Dating | Determining the age of an object based upon surrounding fossils and geological deposits |

| Adaption | The process or state of changing to fit into a new environment with different conditions |
| Domestication | An approach to altering the genetic makeup of plants and animals to make them more useful to humans |
| Specialization | When different people in a society take on specific roles or jobs that require unique skill sets |
| Agricultural Revolution | A turning point that began to live in settled communities and raise plants and animals |
