| rhythm | the arrangement of spoken words alternating stressed and unstressted elements |
| rhyme | correspondence in the sounds of two or more lines (especially final sounds) |
| repetition | the repeated use of the same word or word pattern as a rhetorical device |
| figurative | (used of the meaning of words or text) not literal; using figures of speech |
| literal | limited to the explict meaning of a word or text |
