Word Lesson 7

TermDefinition
Cell The intersection of a column and a row in a table or worksheet.
Content Control A special place holder designed to contain a specific type of text, such as a date or the page number.
Footer Text that is printed at the bottom of each page.
Gridline The lines in a table that form the rows and columns.
Header Text that is printed at the top of each page.
Orphan The last line of a paragraph at the top of a page.
Page Break The place where one page ends and another begins.
Property Identifying information about a file that is saved along with the file, such as the author's name and the date the file was created.
Section A part of a document where you can apply a layout, headers and footer, page numbers, margins, orientation, and other formatting features different from the rest if the document.
Sort To arrange a list of words or numbers in ascending or descending order.
Table An arrangement of text or numbers in rows an columns, similar to a spreadsheet.
Widow The first line of a paragraph at the bottom of a page.
