Conflict and Cooperation Vocab

| Policy | A plan that includes an overall goal and the kind of actions that are okay to take in order to achieve the goal. |
| Foreign Policy | A country's strategy for dealing with other countries. |
| National Interest | All the things a country believes would be for its benefit. |
| Internationalism | When a country chooses to get involved in other countries' problems when there is a great need. |
| Isolationism | When a country focuses on its own problems and doesn't get involved in other countries issues. |
| Conflict | When you disagree or quarrel with someone. |
| Cooperation | When you agree or work with someone. |
| International Conflict | When countries disagree. |
| International Cooperation | When countries have something to gain by working together to solve problems. |
| Conditions | The circumstances that cause something to happen. |
| Motivations | The reasons or goals that cause a country to act. |
| Actions | When countries enforce something or do something. These can be military, political, economic, or a combination of all three. |
| Organization | Groups of people, businesses, or governments that work together to solve an issue. |
| International Organizations | Involve governments or people from different countries working together to solve an issue that crosses country borders. |
| Intergovernmental Organizations | Organizations that are formed between governments. |
| Nongovernmental Organizations | Groups that work together to solve problems around the world that are not connected to any government. |
