What shape were their houses? Rectangular.
What were their houses built of? Wattle and daub.
What did they till the land with? Mattocks or wooden ploughs.
Where was the grain gound? On a saddle stone.
Were their houses permanent settlements? Yes.
What were tools and weapons made from? Stone.
Name an important discovery of the time? Pottery.
Name three of their burial tombs. Court cairns, portal dolmens and passage tombs.
Name a famous passage tomb in Ireland. Newgrange.
