Who is Benjamin Franklin? Leader and famous inventor; Published "Poor Richard's" almanac.
Who is James Oglethorpe? Founder of Georgia.
Indentured servants Signed contract, worked for freedom.
What geographical feature provided good ports in the Middle Colonies? They were connected to many rivers.
Where did most enslaved Africans work in the Southern Colonies? South Carolina plantations.
What were the three cash crops of the Southern Colonies? tobacco, indigo, and rice.
What was The Frame of Government of Pennsylvania? Document - example of self-government in the Middle Colonies.
Why were the Middle Colonies called the "Bread Basket" colonies? Why were people attracted to the Middle Colonies? Because they used so many crops used in baking bread. Job opportunities, fair government, acceptance of all religions.
