Mier y Teran Report Sent by Mexican govt. to investigate Mexican control in east Texas. It was discovered that Anglos outnumbered Mexicans 10-1, which led to Guerrero Decree (ended slavery in Mexico but Texas gained an exemption), and Law of April 6, 1830.
Law of April 6th 1830 In response to the Mier y Teran Report, Mexico banned U.S. immigration to Texas, importation of slaves, implemented customs duties, and suspended empresario contracts. This angered the Texans, leading to more revolutionary movements within Anglo settlers.
