LANDFORM a natural feature (such as a mountain or valley) of the Earth's surface
GEOGRAPHY an area of study that deals with the location of countries, cities, rivers, mountains, lakes, etc.
ICE AGE a time in the distant past when a large part of the world was covered with ice
TRANSPORTATION the act or process of moving people or things from one place to another
CLIMATE the usual weather conditions in a particular place or region
PRECIPITATION water that falls to the ground as rain, snow,
PLATEAU a large flat area of land that is higher than other areas of land that surround it
TRIBUTARY a stream that flows into a larger stream or river or into a lake
SOURCE the beginning of a stream or river of water
BORDER a line separating one country or state from another,a boundary between places
GLACIER a very large area of ice that moves slowly down a slope or valley or over a wide area of land
ELEVATION the height of a place,a place (such as a hill) that is higher than the area around it
WEATHER the state of the air and atmosphere at a particular time and place : the temperature and other outside conditions (such as rain, cloudiness, etc.) at a particular time and place

WHY IS THE HUDSON RIVER LIKE A HIGHWAY we use it for transportation. The Hudson River is also important because products are shipped across such as oil, grain, cement, and rock salt.
