Unit 1 Vocabulary Review

Consequence Something that happens because of what a person does
Citizen A person who lives in and belongs to a community
Right A freedom
Law A rule that people in a community must follow
Tax Money paid to the government that is used to pay for services
Government The group of citizens that runs a community, state or country
Judge The leader of a court
President Leader of the United States government
Congress The group of citizens chosen to make decisions for our country
Capital A city in which a state's or country's government meets and works
