Why did they pass the Stamp Act? They passed it because they were in debt because of the French and Indian War.
What did the Stamp Act tax? It taxed all printed paper.
What did the colonists do in response to the stamp act? Boycott
Whose idea was it to boycott? The Sons of Liberty.
What did the Townshend Acts tax? paper,glass,tea,lead,and paint
They were not repealed until when? The Boston Massacre
Why did the Boston Massacre start? It started when a colonists got in an argument with a british soldier. A crowd of colonists came then a crowd of British soldiers came. The colonists started throwing snowballs and somebody fired.
How many colonists were killed from the Boston Massacre? 5 colonists were killed
What was the Tea Act? The Tea Act was Great britain gave the East India Company a monopoly over the colonists and put a tax on all the tea imported.
What was the Boston Tea Party? The Boston Tea Party was when the Sons of Liberty formed a group dressed as Mohawk Indians and dumped all the tea sitting on the ships in the British Harbor
What was five punishments from the Coercive Acts? Boston Harbor is close until they pay for all the tea, the Massachusetts Legislature was closed an British official that had to be tried would be tried in england The fourth thing is the colonists had to feed and house the British Soldiers it was called
Why was the First Continental Congress meeting? They were meeting to discuss the Coercive Acts
What was the First Continental Congress’s three decisions? Continental Congress decided to continue boycotting British goods. They told the militia, to get prepared to fight the British. The Continental Congress sent the King the Declaration of Rights. It was a list of ten rights they deserved as British citizens
How many colonies were represented in the First Continental Congress? All but Georgia.
What was Britain's reason to go to Concord? To get the colonists supply of guns and ammunition and to catch Samuel Adams and John Hancock.
What happened when the British got to Lexington? They had a stand off with the colonists and then somebody fired but they don’t know who thus ¨the shot heard around the world¨. They battled it out and the British won that battle.
What did the British find when they got to Concord? The British didn't find anything. On their march back home what happened to the British? The colonists would jump out and ambush them along the road. Thus the colonists winning the second battle.
What did the Second Continental Congress decide to do? they should have an army and have George Washington be in charge of it.
