Causes of the American Revolution

Why did the Stamp act occur? Debt from French and Indian War.
What did the Stamp Act tax? All paper goods.
What is the sons of liberty? They are a group of people who didn't agree and did stuff to harm tax collectors.
What did the townshend acts tax? Glass, Lead, Paints, Paper, and Tea.
What are the Writs of Assistance? It was a search warrant to allow tax collectors to search homes.
What was the Boston Massacre? It was a fight between a guard and Wig maker and they fought got a crowd of colonists and guards which causes guards to shoot into the crowd.
What was the Tea Act? It was the East India company to sell to the colonists and they colonists didn't want that because they would have to pay extra if they raise the price no matter what.
What was the Boston Tea Party? A group of colonists dressed up as Mohawk Indians and dumped tea into the Boston Harbor.
What were the Coercive Acts? The closing of Boston Port, Restriction of Massachusetts, Prosecution immunity, requiring of British colonists to house guards, changed leaders of Massachusetts to Thomas Gage.
What did the First Continental Congress achieve? They made a Declaration of Rights, Told minute men to be ready, and continue boycotting English goods.
How were the citizens warned of the Redcoats coming? Paul Revere and William Dawes rode in on Horseback.
What happened at Lexington? The first shot was fired and the British killed minutemen and won the first battle.
What happened at Concord? British found no weapons and the leaders were gone.
What happened on the march back to concord? Militia intercepted the red coats and killed all of them but some were missing.
What did the second continental congress achieve? Got permission to print money, made a committee to deal with foreign relations, and made a Olive Branch Petition.
