Facism A political system headed by a dictator that calls for extreme nationalism and often racism and no tolerance of opposition
Collective A farm especially in communist countries formed from many small holdings collected into a single unit for joint operation on the governmental supervision
Appeasement Giving into unjust demand in order to avoid all conflict
Internationalism National policy of actively treating with foreign countries to foster peace and prosperity
Strategic Material Items needed for fighting a war
Concentration camp A camp for people or detained or confined
Extermination Camp A camp for men women and children were sent to be executed
Disenfranchise To deprive of the right to vote
Cost-plus A government contract to pay manufacturer the cost to produce an item plus a guaranteed percentage
Sunbelt The new industrial region in Southern California in the deep South that developed during world war two
Zoot suit Men's clothing of extreme cut typically consisting of a filing jacket with wide padded shoulders and baggy pleated pants with narrow cuffs
Victory suit Men's suit with no vest no cuffs shorter jacket and nearly pools worn during World War II in order to say fabric for the war effort
Rationing Restricting the amount of an item in individual can have due to a limited supply
Victory garden Garden planted by citizens during war to raise vegetables for home use leaving more for the troops
Amphtrac In insidious tractor used to move troops from ships to shore
Kamikaze During World War II, a Japanese suicide pilot whose mission was to crash into his target
Periphery The outer boundary of something
Convoy system A system in which merchant ships travel with naval vessels for protection
Hedgegrow And enclosure made of dirt walls covered in shrubbery built defense and cattle and crops
Napalm A type of jellied gasoline
