Boston Massacre A group of angry colonist taunted and threw things at British soldiers, The British soldiers fired and killed 5 colonist
Intolerable Acts Puishment of the colonist because of the Boston Tea Party, Closed Boston Harbor and passed new harsh laws limiting the colonist
Proclamation of 1763 Colonist not permitted to move west of the Appalachian Moutains because this land was reserved for the Native Americans, this angered the colonist because thay had hoped to expand territories.
Stamp Act A tax colonist had to pay on all the paper that was used to help Britain pay its war debt
Boston Tea Party Colonist dumped tea into the Boston Harbor to protest the inability to purchase tea from anyone but Britain, this caused British king to become very angry at the colonist
Taxation without Representation The belief that people should not be froced to pay taxes without having a voice in government, became a rallying cry of the colonist to Britain
French/Indian War A dispute between the British and the French over the Ohio river valley, war between the French and Indians against the British, Britain wins the war but creats a large war debt
Quartering Act Colonist had to provide quarters(place to live) for the British soldiers, They also had to provide food, clothing and transportation for the soldiers, Soldiers were protecting the colonist but the colonist were angered at havint to provide for them.
