Government System

TermDefinition
Parlimentary Democracy government in which voters elect a law-making body which chooses a prime minister to head the government
Presidential Democracy form of government where power is between branches (executive, judicial, legislative)
Absolute Monarchy form of government in which a king or queen inherits the right to rule and has complete control
Oligarchy government system where control rests with small group of people whith weath and power
Rebulic a form of government where citizens elect representative to act on their behalf
Federal power divided between government and smaller political units
Unitary central government has all the power
Constitutional Monarchy a form of government in which a king or queen is limited by a constitution
Democracy govenment in which leaders rule with consent of the citizens
Confederation loose alliance; political units control their own laws
Autocracy government with one leader conrolling power
