Columbian Exchange The trade route between Europe and the Americas. It was started in 1492 and is still thriving today.
Viking Explorers People from Iceland and Nordic countries who explored Greenland and Northern America in 1100 A.D.
Reformation A religious movement that split Christianity into Catholicism and Protestantism.
Tiano The Native People of the Caribbean that greeted Columbus
Marco Polo An Italian explorer that travelled to China and wrote a book describing his journey. His book inspired others to go to China.
Trade Goods Valuable items that are used in trade.
Middle Ages The time period in Europe after the fall of Rome and before the Renaissance.
Christopher Columbus An explorer who became the first European to start a trade route between Spain and the New World.
Profit When someone makes more money than he or she spent.
Bubonic Plague A horrible disease in Europe that killed thousands of people during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.
