| Ferdinand & Isabella | The King and Queen of Spain in 1492. They paid for Columbus's first voyage to the New World. |
| Vasco Da Gama | A Portuguese explorer that found the first water route to India. |
| Ferdinando Pizzaro | A Spanish conquistador that conquered the Inca empire. |
| New Spain | The name for the Spanish colonies in the New World. New Spain covered most of South America, all of central America and most of southwest North America. |
| Tenochtitlan | The capital of the Aztec Empire. Present day Mexico City. |
| Missons | Religious villages or cities designed to convert Native Americans to Christianity. |
| Tianos | The name of the Native American tribe that greeted Columbus in the New World. |
| Conquistador | The name for a Spanish explorer. The name means conquerer. |
