Amendment 1 Guarantees freedom of religion, of speech, and of press
Amendment 2 Guarantees the right to bear arms
Amendment 3 Sets conditions for housing soldiers
Amendment 4 Guarantees the right for privacy
Amendment 5 Establishes trial procedures. Forbids punishment without a trial.
Amendment 6 Guarantees the right to a fair, speedy trial.
Amendment 7 Provides for a jury trial in civil lawsuits. Amount of money used in trial
Amendment 8 Prohibits excessive bail and fines, cruel and unusual punishments.
Amendment 9 The people hold more rights then only those listed in the Constitution.
Amendment 10 Powers not given by the Constitution to the government, or forbidden to the states, are reserved for the states or the people.
Amendment 13 Abolishes slavery.
Amendment 14 Forbids laws that unfairly deny citizens rights and guarantees equal protection under the law to all.
Amendment 15 Forbids depriving citizens of the right to vote because of their race or color.
Amendment 16 Authorizes an income tax
Amendment 18 The Prohibition Amendment Forbids the manufacture or sale of liquor
Amendment 19 Grants women the right to vote
Amendment 21 Repeals the Eighteenth Amendment.
Amendment 22 Bars any President from serving more than eight years.
Amendment 26 Lowers the legal voting age to eighteen
