What was the Parthenon? The Parthenon was a building honored for the gods and goddesses on the Acropolis (hill/mountain).
How did Athenian sculpture change over the years? Athenian sculpture changed over the years by the Greeks creating larger-than-life figures that faced front, with their arms held stiffly at their sides.
How did Athenian sculpture change over the years? Later Greek sculptors created much more realistic statues in natural poses with more detailed muscles, hair, and clothing.
Who was Phidias? What did he do? Phidias was a Greek sculptor, painter, and architect, who lived in the 5th century B.C.E. who was believed to be the best sculptor in Ancient Greece.

What do philosophers do? Philosophers believe in wisdom because they want to teach each other the meaning of anything.
How did Socrates try to teach others? Socrates taught others by having them think hard about why things are meaningful.
What happened to Socrates? Socrates died by drinking a poison, hemlock. He was accused of not honoring the gods and of leading young people into error and disloyalty.
