They believed that each part of nature had its own spirt and that everyone had to mantain a balance with these spirts. The indians modi
1.5 Where were the Northwest Coast indians located? What were the Northwest indians main food sources? How did the forests contribute to the indians of the Northwest Coast? They were located in what is now southern Oregon into Canada. Their food sources were mainly seafood but they also had deer, moose, bear, elk, beavers , and mountain goats. The forests provided wood for homes, wood for tools and weapons.
1.6 Where were the Indians of California located? What was the indians main food source in this area? How were these peoples houses made of and how did they look? Their region streched from Oregon to Baja California. The people here mainly relied on the sea but did eat ducks, berries, deer, rabbits ,and nuts. They built simple homes of hides just simple homes of hides and wood.
