1.5 Where did the Northwest people live? Northwest people built villages along narrow beaches and bays of the coastline and on nearby islands.
1.5 Since the Northwest people lived along beaches and bays,what type of food did they eat? The Northwest people ate clams,shellfish,and seaweed. They also hunted on the waters for seals,sea lions,whales,halibut, and other fish. The also hunted in the forests for deer,moose,bear,elk,beaver,and mountain goat.
1.5 What tools did they use? They used wooden harpoons,spears,and wooden fences,wooden wedges,bone drills,stone chisels,and stone knives.
1.5 What houses did they build/live in? They had houses made of logs and trees which built large sturdy houses,they made roof shingles out of cedar bark to keep rain out.Women made baskets,mats,rope, and blanket from soft inner bark.
