Thebes Capital city during the Middle Kingdom.
Middle Kingdom Time in Egypt known for disorder and violence.
The Hyksos Powerful warriors who used methods of warfare unknown to Egyptians. ex: rode in chariots and used sturdy weapons of bronze and iron.
Ahmose Egyptian prince who drove the Hyksos out of Egypt and founded as new dynasty.
New Kingdom Time in Egypt that was prosperous due to trade and conquests.
Hatshepsut Woman pharaoh who wore clothes like male pharaohs and also wore a fake beard.
Incense Material burned for its pleasant smell.

Thutmose III Hatshepsut's nephew who came to power after she died. Known for being a strong leader and conquering 350 cities during his reign.
Amenhotep IV Pharaoh who tried to change Egypt's religion to worship one god named Aton.

Akhetaton Capital city under Akhenaton's rule.
