How many Algonquian Indians lived in Jamestown? Approximately 30,000. Divided into 40 tribes.
Where was James Fort located? James Fort was located at James River.
What was the problem with James Fort? They did not go far enough upstream to get away from the salt water. Landing in a middle of a marsh, in the marsh there were a lot of disease carrying mosquitoes.
Who saved Captain John Smith from execution? Powhatan's 12 year old daughter, Pocahontas.
When did John Smith arrive in Jamestown? 1607
What were the winter starving times results, 1608-09? Colonists trapped in James Fort, low food supply, disease is high, cold winter, resort to cannibalism.
