When Powhatan cut off the colonists food supply because they didn't plant any crops and just kept building houses, what did John Smith do to get them food? John Smith made them work to get food.
Who financed Jamestown? The Virginia company.
Where was Jamestown located? Why was this a problem? JamesTown was located on the James river. This was a problem because they didn't go far enough upstream to get away from the salt water.
What year was Jamestown founded? 1607
Why was it a problem that Jamestown was in a marshy area? Many disease carrying mosquitoes.
How was the relationship between the Algonquins and the colonists? It started out good but when the Algonquins cut off their food supply they had conflicts with each other.
