Prime Meridian an imaginary line separating the Western Hemisphere from the Eastern Hemisphere
latitude the distance north or south of the Equator
sphere a solid shape like a ball
Equater an imaginary line separating the Northern Hemisphere from the Southern Hemisphere
longitude the distance east or west from the Prime Meridian
grid lines of latitude and longitude used together on a map to form a pattern of squares
parallel lines that stay the same distance from each other and never cross or meet
