| 2. Direct primary | All members of a political party vote for a candidate to run in general election |
| 3. Initiativ | Citizens have a right to place an issue before legislature to be approved |
| 4. Referendum | Voters can accept or reject legislature's proposed measures |
| 5. Recall | Voters can remove elected official from office, able to demand special election |
| 6. Suffrage | The right to vote |
| 7. Prohibition | Manufactures, transportation and alcohol banned by laws |
| 8. Social Darwinism | The strongest survive |
| 9. Arbitration | Accepting an outsider's decision, settling a dispute that way |
| 10. Insubordination | Disobey authority |
| 11. Income tax | Tax based on a person's or business' income |
| 12. Unfair trade practices | Trading practices that hurt competition |
