Terms about football and positions

TermDefinition
Pick 6 An interception returned for a touchdown
Touchdown A football carried into the end zone
Safety- Position Usually playing zone. Last line of defense. On defense
Safety- Score When the quarterback gets tackled in the opposite End zone
Sack When the quarterback gets tackled behind the line of scrimmaged
Red zone it the other teams 20 yard line or below
Spike When the quarterback throws the football at the ground. Used to stop the clock when they do not have time outs.
Quarterback Receives the foot ball from the center and throws or hands of to team mates.
Center Throws the ball to the quarterback. On offence
Tackle Defence Tries to sack the quarterback.
