Absolut Location The exact location of a place on earth based upon latitude and longitude.
Cardinal Directions N, S, E, W
Intermediate Directions NE, SE, NW, SW
Latitude imaginary lines that run east and west but measure in degrees, N and S also called parallels
Longitude imaginary lines that run north and south meeting at the pole measuring in degrees east and west also called meridians.
Equator The zero degree line of latitude.
Scale Used to determine distances in either customary or metric units on a map.
Prime Meridian The zero degree line of longitude.
