geographer A geographer is someone who studies geography.
latitude Imaginary lines on Earth that go from east to west that shows a location's distance from the equator.
longitude Imaginary lines on Earth that go from north to south that shows a location's distance from the prime meridian.
absolute location The exact location of a place (using latitude and longitude).
relative location The location of a place relative to other landmarks.
contiguous To be touching or connected to. An unbroken series.
territory An area of land controlled my a nation.
canyon A deep valley with steep sides.
