| Fais-do-do | A Cajun dance. It also means to go to sleep in French. |
| Zydeco | It is the music of French speaking African Americans of South Louisiana. It is similar to Cajun music, sung in French, and played on the accordion. |
| Gospel Music | It is church music blended with elements of folk music. |
| Spirituals | It is sacred folk songs of African Americans, hymns, and popular music. |
