Why was America's first form of government a failure? It gave the states too much power and the national government couldn't tax.
what was the goal of the Constitutional convention? To revise the AoC
What was the NJ plan? A plan for Congress that favors small satates.
What was the virginia plan? A plan for Congress that favors large states.
What was the 3/5 compromise? Each slave counts as 3/5 of a person.
What was the Great Compromise The compromise that made there be 2 houses in congress with different state voting systems.
Who was the main author of the consitution? James Madison
What is the Preamble? It the first part of the constitution that outlines the basic frame of the government.

What's the primary role of the Legislative Branch? To create laws.
What is the Primary role of the Execuative branch? To carry out laws and enforce them.
what's the primary role of the judicial branch? To interpret laws.
What are the requirements to be a member of the House Of Representatives? At least 25, a U.S. citizen for at least 7 years, and live in the state they represent.
What are the requiements to be a senator? At least 30, a U.S. citizen for at least 9 years, live in the state they represent.
What are the requirements to be president? Born in U.S., at least 35, lived in the U.S. for at least 14 years.
What are the powers of the President? Sign and veto laws, command armed forces, grant pardons.
What are the powers of Congress? Create laws, impeach President, pass bills over presidential veto with a 2/3 vote, create lower federal courts.
How long is a House of Representatives term? 2 yrs
How long is a senators term? 6 yrs
How long is a presidents term? 4 yrs
