Who was York? African American slave, brought in by Lewis and Clark, only African American on the Corps of Discovery, admired by other tribes, examined by the Mandans

Who was Jean Baptiste Charbonneau? Son of Sacagawea, newborn, delivered by Lewis, youngest on the journey
Who was Sergeant Floyd? Very sick, first and only death, buried on a hill named Floyd's Bluff
Who were the Tetan Sioux? Immense power, "pirates of the Missouri", unfriendly to Lewis and Clark, most feared tribe during the trip
Where did the journey end? Columbia
