Who was Lenin? The first leader of the Soviet Union and the Communist Party.
What is communism? Full control by the government, lack of private property ownership, and equal distribution of wealth.
What is capitalism? Competition in the economy, private ownership of wealth and property.
What three names did the Rebel group of the Russia Revolution call themselves? Bolsheviks, Red Army, and Communists
Why were the rebels unhappy? They did not want a czar and were experiencing a bad economy and poor lifestyle.
Who was the final leader of the Soviet Union? Gorbachev
What were his reforms about? Freedom of speech, less government control, some private ownership of property
How were 15 countries able to leave the Soviet Union? Gorbachev's reforms.
