Epidermis Outer layer of skin.
Dermis Middle,thickest layer of skin.
Acne Inflammation of skin caused by dirt and oil.
Pimple Raised bump from clogged pore.
Dandruff Flaky, dead skin from the scalp.
Head Lice Small insects on scalp, lay eggs on shaft of hair.
Cuticle Dead piece of skin around base of nail.
Keratin Gives strength to hair and nails.
Plaque Sticky film on teeth.
Tartar Plaque hardens into this.
Cavity A hole in the tooth.
Crown Part of tooth you can see.
Neck Part of tooth between crown and root.
Root Holds tooth in gum.
Enamel Outer tissue of tooth, hardest substance in human body.
Dentin Bony tissue that surrounds the pulp of the tooth.
Pulp Soft inner part of tooth.
Cornea Clear outer part of eye.
Iris Colored part of eye.
Pupil Black dot in center of eye.
Lens Part of eye that focuses light.
Retina Back of eye, contains millions of light sensitive cells.
Farsighted Can't see close up.
Nearsighted Can't see far away.
Astigmatism Unable to see far away.
Optic Nerve Sends messages from the eye to the brain.
Cochelea Snail shaped structure in the ear.
Semicirclular Canals Small, fluid-filled tubes above cochelea.
Auditory Nerve Sends messages from ear to brain.
Ear Drum Piece of skin stretched tight like a drum.
